Welcome to your new look results pages! Overall Season points tables for OCR, RYA and Devon Cup Championships will be compiled and put on this page shortly.

New page links for each venue this season will be added as the events happen, so each venue now has a dedicated page, featuring details of overall finishing positions for that weekend's racing, and individual heat / points tables.

OUR POINTS SYSTEM EXPLAINED

For non- members or those of you viewing this page to retrieve information for press or event publicity, here is a quick overview of how our points system works!

Each venue plays host to 4 x 25 minute heats of racing, with each of those 4 heats holding a maximum 200 points, claimed by the winner. Every entry finishing behind then earns a % of points available depending on their finishing position per heat. Points from all 4 heats are then added together to get an overall total for the weekend. The team with the highest overall total takes overall first place. So, over a 4 heat event, winning all 4 heats would earn 200 points 4 times over, making an overall total for that weekend of 800. Second place earns 180 points per heat, third 162, and so on and so on.

CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS

Competitors who race under a National RYA license accumulate points for the RYA National Championship for every heat of racing they successfully complete. These points are displayed in the RED column of the points table for each venue, with venue totals then being added together throughout the series to display a running total in the overall points tables.

We also have our own Club Championship, The OCR Nationals, and competitors who race as members of our club gain OCR points in the same way as they gain RYA ones. Not all teams will compete at all venues, so both championships are independant of each other.

We also have a Devon Cup, positions for which are awarded by points from all race venues in Devon being added together.

BASIC RACES / COMPETITORS

Racers competing under a trial, day or basic license do not earn points for any Championship or Cup circuit, as they usually only compete in one or two events per season and do not hold full RYA National licences. They do however, earn points to determine their position at any event they attend.

Our Club boat, A25 ' Avago racing' is available for hire by nexcomers to the sport, so they can come and 'Av-a- go' ! A25 may have a different crew for each venue it attends, and will be run on a basic license, so A25 does not accumulate championship points.
