Due to new rules it is now technically feasible to compete in an average conventional family ski-boat.
A full spec national boat would be:

A Class:
Min 18 foot upto 1850cc 2stroke/2200cc 4stroke(approx140hp)
minimum weight of 525kgs

B Class:
Min 16 foot upto 1350cc 2stroke/1600cc 4stroke(approx 90hp)
minimum weight of 400kg

C Class:
Min 14 foot upto 1000cc 2stroke/1300cc 4stroke(approx 70hp)
minimum weight of 350kgs

You can now obtain a basic event licence (max 2 per season) to compete in the OCRDA Championship and The Devon Cup. These licenses do not permit you to acumulate National Points - You need a National Competition License for this.
